New year

Well it is another year. I am another year older, hmmm. I hope 2011 brings good things. I am glad to be through the holiday season. It is always fun but exhausting. I went back for my first weekend in the Er at EIRMC this weekend. It was good to be back working, but hard to be gone from kate. We had a great xmas, although I really missed my sisters. Kate is now 2 months old. That has really gone by fast. She weighs 9lbs 9 ounces and was 22 1/4 inches long. She continues to be smile and laugh at us. She has a very infectious smile. She is either very happy or crying. She is still struggling with colic, worse in the evening. Some days are better than others. She loves her sisters very much. She also loves her mommy, she is a little spoiled. Joe is ready for spring to be here, he is getting bored. He has a few motorbiking trips planned to pass the long winter season. We are getting very excited to go to Disneyland. We fly out in 10 days. The girls are so excited to see the princesses and ride the rides. I am just excited to see the sunshine and get out of the house.

Well December is really flying by! Xmas is here in 4 days. I am having a hard time getting in the spirit this year and I am not sure why. Kate is now up to 7lbs and is 5 weeks old. She has become colicky in the last 2 weeks. It has been a trial of my patients. By the end of the night I am pretty flustered. I keep telling myself this will go away soon (I think to keep my sanity). She is a fun addition to the house. Bailee still loves to hold her and change her diaper, ella likes her but gets tired of her at times. Bailee has lost her 2nd tooth this week. That brings her total to 8 teeth lost! She is very excited about that. Bailee is enjoying school and dance, not so much piano. She did however get a perfect score at festival, so maybe that will make her more excited about the piano. Ella is really enjoying preschool. She has really grown with her vocabulary and knowledge since she started. Thank you Mrs. Doggit! The girls are looking forward to Santa coming, but they are more excited for Disneyland. We are going the end of January. We are all looking forward to a trip. We have never been on a big trip since ella was born (hmm I wonder why :). At least we can get out of the snow and cold for a week. Yes I may be crazy taking a newborn on a trip but I am hoping she will be good. I am trying to adjust to being home. I had a lot of plans and projects to complete on maternity leave and have not got any done. I forget that a new born especially a colicky one, is a full time job! But that is what maternity leave is for I guess. Joe is working for the UPS company helping for the holiday season. I will try to get a picture of him in his uniform to post. It doesn't pay much but it gets him out of my hair. I don't stay too far from the office. I am working saturday and then a day next week for a few hours. I am looking forward to getting out of the house, and maybe it will help me keep my sanity! Otherwise we are very thankful for all of our blessings, friends, and family this year. Okay obviously with all my free time that I am not use to I am taking a lot of pictures. It is funny, most of the time life is so busy and you would give anything for a free moment, until you have one. I get up clean my house, do a load of laundry, feed kate, try to handle ella and then wonder what I am going to do the rest of the day. I am sure after I get use to being home for a week or two I will settle down and enjoy being home especially now that it is the holidays. I also have had some time to realize how truly lucky I am. Between my great husband, kids, family, and friends I am very blessed.

Well on thursday morning 11/11 Kate joined our family the same way her 2 sisters did, via c-section. It was different however, in that I did not throw up through the whole thing. This is a first! Kuddos to my new best friend Todd Gemlich, the nurse anesthetist!! He did a great job in keeping me from vomiting. Also I had the great experience of having my friends/doctors get to deliver this baby. Joe Watson and Jeff Zollinger also did a great job of getting me cut open and put back together again. I'm pretty sure my scar is straight :) Kate has been a great baby so far. She is little but mighty. She was 5 lbs 5 ounces and 19 inches at birth. When we left the hospital saturday she was down to 5 lbs 2 ounces with clothes on. She will have some catching up to do. Ella and Bailee could not be happier big sisters. They love her so much. Here are a few pictures for those of you who have not seen her. There is even a video if I can get it to work of kate joining this world.

Well I think it is about time I make a post. Life is getting back to somewhat of a schedule now that school is back in full swing. Bailee is in 2nd grade and loving every minute of it. She is glad to be back in school. She is taking dance, piano, and has decided to play basketball this year. Like we need one more activity. Ella started preschool this year. She is really enjoying it and feeling like a big girl. Ella is also taking dance lessons this year. We are all looking forward to Kate our baby joining our family. 10 weeks and counting down. I am ready to be done!! The office is going good, a little slow but hopefully with school back in it picks up. The ER at EIRMC is great. It is as busy as ever and I am still constantly learning and improving my skills. Joe is in the midst of farming season trying to get the grain harvested so we can dig potatoes!! My family is growing. We had 2 new babies born this summer. Rachel had her first baby, a sweet little girl named molly. Andrea has her second, another little boy named austin both who are doing great. We had family pics done a few weeks ago and they turned out great. I hope everyone is ready for fall it seems to be here. The nights are getting very chilly!! Here are a few of the pics.

Well for those of you who don't know I am pregnant. We are expecting another member of our family November 23rd. Everyone pray for a boy. This pregnancy has been very different from my other two. I usually lose weight, um nope that hasn't happened. I still am sick every morning so far but I still can eat. The difference this time has been the fatigue. After a day of work I have to lay on the couch the rest of the night. I sure hope this gets better. I have too much to do!! My girls are very excited. Bailee thinks it's a boy and ella thinks it's a girl. We were surprised that it happened so quickly this time. It was almost 4 years to get ella here. We are hoping to find out next week what this baby is. I am going to phoenix for a week on the 22nd and really need to know so I can start shopping.

I am so lucky to work with such a great group of people! This pic I stole from Mary's blog. It was taken at the chamber dinner a few weeks ago. RMC got the beautification award and Dr. Z got the medical professional of the year award. There is no one that deserves this award more than him. I enjoy going to work everyday. Don't worry my good ER friends I still miss you too! Our family is staying crazy busy as usual. Ella is going to turn 3 next week. Where has the time gone? Joe is getting back to work and that has been good for him. I am very ready for summer! I can't believe in april we are still shoveling snow. I am ready for the sunshine!!!

I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted. Life at casa Jeppesen is very crazy and busy. Getting back into a routine after xmas took some time. Now I think we are back to normal for a while. Bailee is busy with her piano and dance. She is really enjoying school this year. She has a wonderful teacher who has pushed bailee and her reading this year. Bailee won 4th place in a local poetry contest and got to recite her poem in front of an audience today. That was fun for her. Ella is full of mischief as usual. She has all sorts of new phrases. The funniest is, " Mom I am going to laugh my beebs out." When asked where her beebs are she states in my armpits or in her belly button. And don't worry if she laughs a beeb out she has more to replace it. That is our ella, full of it. We don't know where she came from. She is also becoming a very independent little girl. She comes out with some really great outfits lately. The girls both started skiing this year. Bailee is onto the chair lift and keeping up with the other kids her age. She is really enjoying it. Ella went with us up to Targhee a few weeks ago and got to ski on the magic carpet. Which is for those of you that don't ski like a moving escalator up the little hill. She was very proud of herself that she could do it herself. She was skiing down the little hill by herself by the end of the day. It was a little out of control, but she could do it. The great thing about little kids is they have no fear! Joe is getting ready for spring work. He is ready to go back to work (and I am ready to have him back to work!) I am staying busy with work and kids. Work is starting to pick up at the Medical Center. I am working a few weekends a month at the ER at EIRMC. IT is so great. I am learning a lot and it is out of control busy, which I love. I feel very grateful for a job this week. I hear of people every week that are getting layed off. Also in light of the terrible earthquakes and tsunamis that are happening all around us I feel grateful for a safe place to live. As much as I complain about the weather here, I guess we are lucky to live in Rexburg Idaho!

Christmas time

I have not been very good at blogging the last 2 months. Life just never slows down for me. Joe finished up farming and now has been doing a lot of playing. He left today for mesquite motorbiking. I guess he has to stay busy somehow. Ha Ha! The girls are getting very big. Bailee had a BD on the 29th. She is 7. I can't believe in one year she will be getting baptized. She makes me feel old. Bailee has lost both front teeth. She looks funny. Ella is a handful as always. She really has an attitude lately. We added a new addition to our family about 10 days ago. We got a maltese. He is about 12 weeks old and we love him. The girls named him ozzy and they call him oz. He has brought a lot of joy to our lives. It gives me someone to hangout with while joe is gone playing. Work is starting to get busier which is nice. I have also started picking up some shifts at EIRMC in the ER as a NP. That has been fun. I can't believe xmas is almost here. The weather sure reminds us it is winter. It is funny, even thought I have spent almost every winter of my life but 2 in rexburg I am still amazed how cold it is here! I hope everybody is staying warm and also enjoying the holiday season!!

We went boating last saturday to end our boating days for the summer. We had a great time. The girls played in the water and tubed. Grandma and Grandpa ferney bought a surf board to try out. It is fun that my parents are not scared to try new things. They are still young at heart!! The weather was nice and there were not as many boats as I thought there would be. Joe is in the midst of grain harvest and that has been all consuming for him. We get to see him in the mornings for a few minutes and that's about it. Bailee did the MHS cheer clinic last week and had a great time. The big news in our house this week is that ELLA IS FINALLY POTTY TRAINED!!! HALLELUJAH!! That was a much more difficult task than I had anticipated. But we finally got it done. Otherwise we are trying to get a schedule now that school has started. We have both dance and piano to work into our schedule for bailee this year. It looks to be a busy year!! The shoes in the pic are bailees new "twinkle toes" she had to have them.

Well I have not been a very good blogger this summer. We have been busy but I'm not sure what we have been doing. I have worked too much I know that. I am anxious for school to start. It will be nice to have some structure back into our lives. Bailee is so excited for school to start so she can go to all day school. I can't believe I have a first grader. We went school shopping last weekend to SLC. We stayed with Rachel in alpine. We had great trip. We went to park city and hit the outlets. I think sometimes we think we are getting a better deal than we really are. Then on monday I met some friends from HS at the Zoo. Tiffany, Kelli, Natalie, and I and all of our kids hit the zoo then to lunch. What a great day! It was so fun to see you ladies and your cute kids. It felt like we were back in HS but with a bunch of noisy kids!! I also ran into another friend from HS at the mall. Jill has a beautiful baby girl and is living midwest area I think missouri? Her husband is just beginning his ENT residency. Anyway great weekend lots of fun and friends. School starts wednesday then I guess summer is really over. It went way too fast!!

Well our office finally got our web site up and going. (Rexburgmedicalcenter.com) The future of medicine is online. We will eventually have it so if you are our patient you can log in and get your labs on the computer. Who would have ever thought. My picture is even on it! We also have some good links to reliable to helpful medical web sites. Anyway we went to rigby lake yesterday and had a ball. I got fried, but we had fun. My queen contest is this weekend. I will be so glad to have it done! It has been a lot more work than I thought it would be!!

Race Day!

Well I finished my first 5K in just under 30 minutes. I find it comical that when you think you are in good shape you get set straight when you run a race with a bunch of other people. I was feeling pretty good until I saw a 6 year old that was ahead of me for most of the race! Where do they get their energy. I ended up 7th in my age division out of 17 runners. My age division was 24-29. I was the old lady in my division. But it was fun and I felt a sense of accomplishment especially since I am not a runner. I did feel kind of dumb when the half marathon and full marathon runners started coming in. But I guess you have to start somewhere! Way to go to Clay Prince who ran the half and Dr. Packer who ran the full! I guess I better set my goals higher for the next one! Bailee is in St. George with my mom visiting my sister andrea. That is a good vacation for her to have a trip without her sister (and her mother). Joe has been home a lot because of the rain, and ella is as challenging as ever! But life would be boring without ella bossing me around and keeping me running in every direction!

Summer

No we did not fall of the face of the earth. For some reason my life is not slowing down at all! Well any day now summer will begin. The rain has been kind of nice. I have been getting ready for the dam marathon. I am running the 5K with some friends. Yesterday I ended up running 8 miles. That is more than 3 I realize. But for the first time in my life I actually felt good. I think all the stress in my life is adding up lately and running helps me clear my head. I was volunteered to be in charge of the Madison county Whoopee days rodeo queen contest. This has been a large undertaking. I still have no idea what I am doing. I hope it all comes together. So if you know anyone interested let me know! The girls are crazy! With school being out our schedule is blown. They are not going to bed until 10 or 11 and it is very hard to wake them up when I have to go to work! June is shaping up to be a busy month. I just wish there was more time to play! Soon I hope. I am frustrated lastely with the mom always being the mean one. My girls think the sun revolves around their dad. Anyone else feel this way? I feel like the wicked witch of my house. But someone has to make them go to bed, clean their room, and take a bath. The Dam Marathon is Saturday and I am looking forward to that!

We went to Utah to stay with rachel and ty this last weekend. We had a great time. We got to see their house for the first time. It is very cute. We went to the zoo, went shopping, and just enjoyed each others company. Kim and peyton went down with us. It is much easier to travel with another adult. The girls were better on the trip than they usually are. Maybe they are actually getting old enough to travel. The weather was okay, but not as warm as I would like it to be. I am ready for summer!! The monkey background for those of you that don't know ella very well if for her. She is obsessed with monkeys and when I was looking at new backgrounds she saw this. She loves it!!

I can't believe my baby is 2! I am a little late with the post. Her bd was on the 13th. Ella came into this world on Friday the 13th and we like to joke that she is the way she is due to that. She came about 2 and a half weeks early. I had just finished my clinical hours for the semester but still had a paper and a final to take. Dr. Prince told me that I could have her now that my hours were done. Well ella must have listened to Dr. Prince that day because that very night I went into labor with her. She is a very strong willed and entertaining little girls. She brings much laughter and excitement to our lives. My life would be very boring without her. We love you Ella!!

Well we are starting to settle into our house finally. Ella is still sleeping in our bed and not sleeping through the night, but that hs been going on for quite awhile. The walls are still bare, but all the boxes are unpacked (minus the ones in the basement that are stuff we don't need). Bailee is really enjoying riding the bus. She gets to ride it to and from school now. She does miss the grandma tammy bus. She tells us that several of the boys are in love with her, he dad was not impressed. It is really nice living so close to town, work, and the baby sitter. That will save on some gas. I really need to get some pictures up. My cord for my phone got left at my moms. I will get it this week. I finally started to act on one of my new years resolutions.... getting in shape. We decided at work the other day that we would put together a relay team for the teton dam marathon. I decided this year would be my year. I have wanted to the last 2 years, but never get ready. So I am going to make it happen this year with some probing and help from my fellow co-workers. (Clay prince is already running 5 miles!!) I have a lot to do to catch up. I really can't believe how much better you do feel after exercising in the morning. I may mean a little less sleep (I have to get up at 5:30 or 6:00) but it will be worth it!!!! By the way, anyone who wants to stop by please feel free, and while you are here maybe you can give me some decorating advice. By the way I just wanted to add that I am so lucky to work for such a caring and great bunch of people. Mary and Jeff are the best!!

We finally got moved in to our house this weekend. We staying our first night and had our first meal last night (okay home cooked meal). We are so glad and tired. I spent all weekend packing boxes and cleaning while Joe finished up things so we could pass our inspection. I obviously haven't done any physical labor in awhile. My whole body hurt sunday and still hurts today. But no complaining. I will post some pics when I find my camera. So I guess the open house if officially open. Feel free to stop by for a tour!! I will just warn you there are still a lot of boxes and much decorating to be done!!

Okay I am going to try again this week to get some pics of the house. I guess the last ones just don't want to be seen. We are close. We just have to get our counter top on, our appliances in, and our bathrooms finished up. We are hoping to move in next week. It has been a long journey and one that I am anxious to be done with. We are so lucky to have such great parents who let us take over their house. The girls have loved living with grandma and grandpa. They won't know what to do without them. Other than the house.... the girls are growing up too fast. Bailee is already asking when she can get a cell phone and an i-pod. She is an excellent reader and ver smart. Her teacher is always telling us what a great student she is. Ella is a monster, and I mean that in a loving way. She is a challenge every day of my life. She loves to do the exact opposite of what you want her to do. If there is anything that can be spilled, knocked over, or dumped out she will find it. She is kind of a bully. She usually has bailee in tears at least once a day. She gives great hugs. She is also obsessed with monkeys. She calls them "ah ah's". She thinks about them all day long every day. Curious George is her favorite show. We all have monkeys on our screen savers for her too. My girls are great and I love them. Joe just got back from Mesquite and St. George on a much needed motorbiking trip with his friends. He has been working very hard on our house this winter. And it was very obvious this week when he left because not much got done!! I am glad to have him home :)

I guess it is another great day to eat too much chocolate. Like we need a few more days for this. The house is coming right along. Cabinents are in. This really makes the house look real. They are suppose to start putting carpet in monday and tuesday. All we have left if the master bathroom to be tiled (Trent that means you) and the fireplace to be rocked. We are getting so close. I think we (my parents and us) are both looking forward to some alone time. My parents have really been great letting us take over their house. We love them and are so greateful to have them!!

"STRESS"

The word stress about sums up my month. I have been a huge slacker when it comes to blogging. I have been a little better on facebook. So here is a quick update on the month. The house is painted, carpet ordered, cabinets being made, and wood floor ready to be installed by joe tomorrow!! Things have really come together with the house. It is so fun to see it start to be real. My paint colors turned out great (with some help from Dannette Downey who is so great!). That is a big relief. So in the next few weeks we should be very close to getting to move in. Work is still very slow, I keep hoping one day that is going to change. The girls are doing good, they are anxious to move into their new rooms. Ella has an everlasting cold that turned into an ear infection yesterday. (I guess tubes are not always the answer) But other than that we are doing good and I just wanted you all to know we still exist. I promise I will get some house pictures in the next 2 days and post them. Hope everybody has a good week.

Well our New Years eve was quite boring around here. Joe and I watched shrek with the kids then I went to work at 10 in the emergency room. New Years day was much more exciting. First of all it was my birthday. I am 29, one more year and I will be 30! That seems crazy to me. So for my birthday my friends rebecca and hillarie took me to lunch at the Olive Garden and then we went and did some shopping. Thanks girls it was so nice to have a day without kids, except Hillarie's sweet baby! Then in the evening we went to our good friends the Andrus's and had pizza and games. We really miss living next door to such great neighbors. Overall it was a wonderful day for me. Now it is 2009, what will this year bring? I guess that is something only time will tell. We are hoping to be in our house by the middle of February. Joe is hanging trim this week so the painters can come next week. Very exciting. My sweet Grandma Ferney passed away yesterday. We will be having the funeral on Thursday in Idaho Falls. She was a wonderful lady who taught me lots of funny songs, who gave me my love for shoes, and who I inherited my nice finger nails from. Lots of good memories, she will be missed in our family. On a happy note we will get to see some of my cousins we haven't seen in awhile at the funeral. Today has been a lazy day. We are still in our pajamas. I guess I better find some motivation for today. I hope everyone has made their new years resolutions, maybe this will be the year I actually keep mine. Every year I say I am going to exercise and get into shape, we will see what this year brings for me!!

We had a wonderful xmas filled with fun, family, and lots of yummy food. I swear I have gained about 50 pounds during the last few weeks. But Santa brought me a Wii Fit so maybe that was a hint? The girls got spoiled rotton as usual. Thir grandma susie made them the cutest aprons. They go perfect with the kitchen set santa brought them. Grandma tammy gave them the cutest lounge chairs for their new playroom along with clothes and toys. Our house is coming along. I now have the daunting task of picking out tile. Any one have any great suggestions?

Twas 2 days before xmas

Well only 2 days until xmas and I am almost done shopping. We had a great weekend. We had parties 3 nights in a row. My ward party went great. Things really came together and we had a good time. Saturday night we had my mom's whole family over to her house for our anual xmas party. It was so much fun! All of my cousins made it but two. The little kids had so much fun running around the house and tearing things apart. The great grandkids acted out the nativity as my grandpa read the story of Jesus's birth out of the Bible. It is so nice to read the story and help the kids (and the adults) remember why we have xmas. It was great. Then on Sunday we had our family party with my siblings. Andrea and Brad are headed to Canada today and Rachel and TY went back to Utah on sunday. We had a great time together. It makes me think back to xmas when I was little and how different it is now, yet sometimes we still feel like little kids. It is never easy not having your family on xmas but I guess we have to share them with their in-laws too. I am loving the snow we are getting. If it is going to winter we might as well have 6 feet of snow. Well I wish everyone a safe and happy holidays. I feel lucky to have each one of you in my life!!

Okay so I have been promising some pics of the house. I didn't have time to take any of inside yet. It is all sheetrocked, they are suppose to start to tape and tecturing this week. It is getting close!! This month is already flying by. We have been busy almost everyday with something. We also are having surgeries, yes two this month. Ella is having tubes in her ears on the 15th and Bailee is having her tonsils out on the 26th. I decided we would let her enjoy xmas. This way she also won't have to miss any school. So I have a few decision that I need some help with.

1- Paint colors... I think I have decided on crisp khaki for the main color. But anybody got any great suggestions for my bathrooms or the bonus room? I will take all the suggestions I can get. I am very decoratively challenged?! That brings me to my next problem

Well what a weekend. On Friday we took bailee and some friends to the movie. We went and saw BOLT. It was a very cute movie. We enjoyed it. The kids had a good time. On Saturday we had the family party and went bowling. We had a great turn out. We had about 27 people come. The kids had a great time bowling. Even miss Ella did a little bowling. Bailee got a lot of Hannah Montana items. She is a little obsessed. We want to thank everyone for a great holiday weekend. It is still hard for me to realize that I have a 6 year old. I still remember the day she was born. Time really flies lately. I hope to slow it down a little so I don't miss out on my sweet girls growing up to be teenagers!!!!

Well we had family pics today. I am excited to get them back. Analee taylor did them. So watch soon for them to be posted on her website or mine. We are still coming right along on the house. I will try to get more pics this week. Work is good and hopefully will start to get busier from the open house. We are looking forward to thanksgiving next week. We also have Bailee birthday and andrea's birthday. Busy week for us. I have been contemplating my blessings this week. At this time with the economy at an all time low I feel lucky that my husband and I both have good jobs. It seems like more and more we are hearing of people getting laid off. Scary. Also we like in such a great town close to our families. That is a blessing to me. I hope each of us can be extra greatful for our blessings every day, but especially at this time of year.

What a busy week!! Last weekend we had a great time in Boise. We were so glad to see mandy and jason. We went to the zoo, saw Madagascar 2 and shopped!! Thanks mandy and jason for being such gracious hosts. My kids can get a little wild. Then this week we had our big open house at work. The Rexburg Medical Center had our big grand opening on wednesday. WE had a wonderful lunch and then the ribbon cutting. It is such a beautiful building. We even made the news and got to do live interviews on Q102 fm. Mary Zollinger did a fabulous job of this remodel. They are so lucky to have her. Everybody should come by and have a tour or get some work done in dermachic. I feel lucky to be part of such a great place to work!

So I must be the worst mom, I forgot to take pics of my kids on halloween night. I had a really bad cold that day and my head felt like it was floating on a balloon. I had to do bailee kindergarden halloween party and then we did our ward's trunk or treat and after that I was done. The kids had a good time. The weather was unbelieveably warm. I remember last year having coats over costumes so you couldn't see the costumes. I guess we are done with the nice weather after seeing the snow this morning. But I guess bring it on. I hope we have a very snowy and wet winter so we can enjoy the water next summer. We are making house decisions everyday now. It is very overwhelming. I am not good at making decisions, especially ones that I am going to have to live with for a long time afterwards. But I guess you live and learn. Today we went and priced appliances. Who knew a fridge could cost so much money? The girls and I are going to Boise this weekend to see my BFF mandy. We are so excited!!! We are going to do a little birthday and xmas shopping, go see Madagascar 2, and eat at some good food places like Cheesecake Factory. We will try to get some pics from Mandy's new house. Maybe I can get some good ideas too.

Well last Saturday we decided to get into the Halloween spirit and go pick out pumpkins. We went to this big red barn in idaho falls. They had 2 big fields of pumpking growing. There was every color and size you could imagine. The kids had a good time picking out their pumpkins. Them we took them home and did the easy way of carving pumpkins this year. Our house is coming along. The shingles are on the roof, and all of the windows are in now. Hopefully next week the plumber and electrician gets to work. Ella had a bad week this week going to the baby sitter. She usually likes to go, but this week she cried and was not very happy with me when I went to gt her. Joe is in Salmon fishing this week with the guys from co-op. My dad has also been gone this week so it is just he girls, me, and my mom at home this week. Ella is finally starting to say a few more words. With much help from grandma tammy this week she now will say gradma and papa. We are looking forward to boo at the zoo and halloween next week.

Ann and Brad are back from new york and I think will be home for awhile. We had a fun family weekend at mom and dad's. We got to watch the snow and enjoy the nice warm fire. Thanks mom and dad for being such gracious hosts. Even though the kids destroy the house, I think they are glad we are all here. Mom was not in the pictures because she seems to avoid the camera and dad and jesse were on their way back from council braving a blizzard to get home to their families. We are glad they made it home safe!

Well the progress on our house this week is windows, and almost all the concrete is done. It seems like it is still so far off. Rach and Ty are here and we are enjoying them. We are not however, enjoying the weather. Who ordered the wind? It it suppose to snow, we will see. My best friend in boise said it snowed a little bit there so I guess that means it is headed our direction. We will try to get some pics of everybody this weekend. Dad and jesse are in council hunting. Jesse shot his deer, I think he was pretty excited. Sure hope kim likes deer meat. I hope the weather stays nice for about another week so we can get the potatoes out of the ground.

Well the house is coming along. Here are the most recent pics. They are suppose to pour the rest of the concrete and get the windows in this week. We are getting excited. Living with my parents has been good but it is just hard not to have your own space. We are now 4 days into spud harvest. All is well so far. WE are just hoping we don't get too much snow this weekend that causes us to delay digging. I think I recall that happened to us last year. It is funny that the weather was in the high 70's and as soon as we started digging spuds the temperature dropped about 20 degrees. Ironic isn't it? Work is going well. I started working one day a week at the BYU-ID student health center. It is a lot of fun. They have a great staff and the students are friendly and mostly very appreciative of the care. We are getting excited for halloween at our house. Bailee is going to be Hannah Montana (what a surprise) and ella is going to be a flower. Grandma tammy found the cutest costume in park city for miss ella at children's place. I am in charge of Bailees halloween party for Kindergarden so it should be fun. I can't believe how close it is to xmas. I guess I better get shopping. We are going to Lagoon next week for frightmares with our friends rebecca and makayla weaver. That is going to be fun. We should also get some good pictures to post. A couple weeks ago in relief society we had a lesson about being mothers based on one of the confernce talks from the april conference (I think). One of the points in the lesson talked about "mommy moments". It was fun to listen to everyones mommy moments. The lady teaching the lesson said that she had a special place in her journal the she dedicated to mommy moments. She would just write down random things as they happened. I thought that was a very cute idea. It seems like our kids grow up so fast and that is just one more way we can try to remember all the cute things they do.

A much needed getaway

Well I got to go to Boise last week without kids. The point of the trip was to attend the Nurse
Practitioners of Idaho conference. It was a great conference. Lots of good material and it was neat to meet a lot of the other NP's across the state. I also got to see my best friend Mandy who has been in phoenix the last 3 years. She bought a new house so I got to see that too. We met with some of my friends from Boise that I went to NP school with at The Cheesecake Factory for dinner. That was the highlight of the trip. We had a great time talking about our new careers, trials, and how nice it is to be done with school. Overall a much needed break away from my wonderful kids. Our house is coming along. I guess they have the roof on. I haven't been up there for about a week so I will get some more pics tomorrow and post later in the week. I have been missing all my friends in the ER lately. For some weird reason anywhere else I have gone I have not found as good of group of people as we have in the MMH ED. So all of you out there just remember when you are having the crappiest shift or pouring poop into the little containers just remember how lucky you are to have each other!!! There are good people at RMC too, don't get me wrong, but it is hard to be the new person. I am very greateful to get to work with Mary Z again. I always enjoyed her in the ED and now I get to see her at my new job. She is great. We have had the eternally long cold at our house. The girls have passed it between them since labor day. I am really sick of coughing and snotty noses. I can't believe christmas is going to be here very soon. I guess I better get shopping. I did do some shopping for me, I got a new phone. It is the blackberry curve. Let's just say it is another level of using a cell phone. I had to spend the first evening with the manual to even figure out how to set a ringtone and dial a number.

Okay my friend amber had this on her blog and I couldn't resist posting it. So here's to all the husbands who wonder what their wives do all day and to all the wives who work so hard:)

A Man came home from work and found his two children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard. The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and there was no sign of the dog. Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall. In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door. He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill or that something serious had happened. He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door. As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls. As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went. He looked at her bewildered and asked, "What happened here today?" She again smiled and answered, "You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world I do all day?" ''Yes," was his incredulous reply. She answered,"Well, today I didn't do it."

Well another holiday weekend has come and gone. We enjoyed a visit from rachel and tyler this weekend. We went to jackson and went to the Bar J for some good food and fun. But but the way if any of you are even going to go, don't take kids. Bailee did okay but got bored. Ella on the other hand was not fun at all. I really regreted taking her. Work is going good just still a little slow. But I know I have to be patient, it will pick up this fall when people start to get sick again. Our house is coming along. We are hoping to set trusses on Tuesday. I will drive by and take a picture tomorrow to post and keep track of the progress. So if anyone has a great suggestion on what to or not to do on a house I would appreciate it.

Wow!! I guess I am a little behind on the blogging thing. We have had a lot happen in the last month. We had to move out of our house. That was very sad for us. We have been there for 6 years. We moved in with my parents. That is going pretty good. It is just hard for them to have little kids back in the house. We have been trying to "Ella proof" the house. I can't believe summer is over and we are back in school. Well I should say I am done and now it is bailees turn. She had a wonderfulf first day of school. She is liking the school part, but not the waking up early part. She is going to Lincoln and has Mrs. Barton. She is wonderful. We also had a wedding the second weekend in August. Rach and Ty got married. It was beautiful. It was at Red Butte Gardens in salt lake city. The girls were beautiful flower girls. We went to Lagoon while we were there. Bailee loved the roller coasters. I do have some advice for anyone who hasn't been there, don't take children that can't ride the rides. Ella was not much fun to take. She could not ride the rides and I forgot her stroller and had to pack her around for 7 hours. It was a long day and I was glad to get home. Our new house is finally taking shape. They are suppose to set trusses next week. I will keep the house updates coming and I'm sure I will need many opinions on house decisions.

Well my first day at work was good. It was a little slow, but that is to be expected. I'm sure it will pick up. I saw 7 patients. I guess that is good for my first day. So if anyone is sick or needs a well baby check up come and see me!! We had a great weekend. Rachel and Tyler came up from Utah so we had the whole family together. We all had to fight over who go to hold baby Peyton. He is so sweet, bailee usually won the fight! On Saturday we went to the parade of homes and tried to get some good ideas for our new house. Then after we went to my parents to test out the new playground. We also set up the slip and slide. The Genta gang came over to enjoy the nice weather with us. We had a great time until we had an accident. Brylee walked behind bailee while she was swinging and she face planted into the railroad ties. Poor Brylee was so brave, so was here daddy. After all the water fun we had BBQ and fire. What a blessing to be able to have family close. We enjoyed having family time. We talked about rachel and ty's upcoming wedding. They are both getting excited. Jess and Brad did a little bit of golfing, dad hosted a roping and the rest of us chased the kids and basked in the sun. We are so glad that summer is finally here. Maybe we will hit Rigby Lake this week!!

Baby peyton is born

Well Jesse and Kim had their little boy at 0530 this morning. He was 7lbs 9 ounces. His name is Petyon Ryder Ferney. He is very cute, he looks just like his daddy!! Kim went to the hospital at about 10:30 the night before. She only had to push for half an hour. She did great. She also looked great not very long after this major life changing event!! The girls loved him. Bailee did not want to give anyone else a turn to hold him and Ella wanted too much to be touching and loving him. Kim and Jesse are doing good, just a little sleep deprived. Little do they know it is just beginning. Welcome to children!! We didn't do much this weekend because it was my last night of work on saturday night. Joe is hard at work with water and other farming things. He did get half the day off for fathers day. I am anxious because I start my new job this week. Tomorrow I will be doing paperwork and some computer work, then on Thursday I will start seeing patients. It is hard to believe that after all this school and work it is finally going to be real. I am scared, but excited. We are on the count down to 4th of July and the Hannah Montana concert. Bailee is so excited she can hardly wait. It will be very exciting for her. It will also be a good thing to have a trip for just me and Bailee, no Ella.

The first camping trip of the year

Well I think I can now say that we are true campers. We braved the wind and cold temperature this weekend and went camping. We were suppose to leave on Friday night but the wind made us decide we would wait unil the next morning to go. We do have a camper so we are a bit spoiled, but... We left Saturday around noon. We went with our fantastic neighbors the Andrus family. Trent, Darla, Keegan (8), AJ (5), and Spencer (3). We took 4 wheelers and motor bikes for something else to do. When we got up there we had lunch and then decided we would head off on the wheelers for a ride. We wanted to see how far we could get until we saw snow. Well we didn't know how ironic that would be. We got off down the trail okay. I must say that it is a lot harder packing a baby and trying to drive a 4wheeler than I remember from last year. There was a lot of mud on the trails but they were not too bad. We got a few miles in and kept hitting a dead end, I guess Joe doesn't remember the trail as well as he thought. We then started to head up another trail when it started hailing. It was light at first, then it really started to come down. Then the hail turned to snow. It was snowing so hard we could barely see to get back to our camp spot. I guess we did get see some snow afterall!! After the storm settled down we cooked dinner. The weather was behaving a little better. The kids were having a good time riding the 4-wheelers around in this circular trail we had at camp. It is funny to remember how fun that use to be. My how simple life is when you are a kid. The boys went to shoot some skeet and the women stayed back at camp around the fire trying to keep the kids entertained and warm. I said a few weeks ago how lucky we have always been that we have never had anyone get hurt, well our luck ran out this trip. Spencer, Darla's youngest was playing with a stick and tripped and hurt his eye. I have to say being the ER nurse I am I still am not comfortable with eye injuries. I was just hoping there was not a stick poking out his eye. He cut the corner of his eyelid. After a trip to the ED he came back with 2 stitches and a story about the shots he got to get them. They had to sedate him so he wouldn't fight so much. Overall a fun, but cold camping trip. But when the kids get older they can remember this trip as the camping trip that is snowed!!

The beginning

Well I have deleted and restarted my blog about 3 times now. Maybe this time I won't mess things up. For those of you that are keeping up with life at the Jeppesens it has finally slowed down now. I am finished with school and now we can get back to some consistency. I am officially a Nurse Practitioner now. I start my new job in about 2 weeks at the Rexburg Medical Center. I am excited to start my new career. Joe is busy farming away. They finally got the crops planted, about 3 weeks later than last year. That is very relieving to Joe. The girls are getting very big too fast. Bailee finished pre school last week. She also had her dance recital 2 weeks ago. She loved being on the stage. She starts gymnastics next week. Heaven knows we couldn't just do nothing for the summer. Ella is a spit fire. She is full of love and energy. She loves to walk and run following her big sister and get into anything she is not suppose to. We are looking forward to a fun summer. We have a camping trip planned for next weeked with the Andrus family. We are going to have a new edition to our family at the end of June, a baby boy with a name undecided at this time. And also a new brother in law!! Rachel and Tyler are getting married August 9th in utah. We are looking forward to that. I just want to say thanks to all of the friends and family that have helped me get through school. My degree really belongs to everyone, not just me. We have the greatest friends, neighbors, and family anyone could ask for. Here are a few pictures to get the blog thing started. We took these at the zoo a week or so ago.
